One of the measures we have taken to protect the natural resources of our planet and reduce our environmental impact is the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), a voluntary declaration introduced by the EU to promote sustainable development. Based on the UNI EN ISO 14025:2010 and EN 15804:2012 standards, it provides certified data on the environmental impact of a product or service, calculated by carrying out a life cycle assessment (LCA) in accordance with ISO 14040:2006, and it allowconsumers to make more informed and more environmentallyfriendly purchasing choices. CISA’s EPDs are drawn in collaboration with the main European producers guided by ARGE – the European Federation of Locks and Building Hardware Manufacturers – and Institut Bauen und Umwelt e.V.
