New CISA Mito Sensor for Fire Doors

Category: News

The CISA Mito range for fire doors has recently expanded with the introduction of Mito Sensor, the new certified electronic lock that allows remote opening of the external handle, enabling instant access to authorized personnel in restricted areas such as offices, technical rooms and laboratories.

The operation is simple and immediate, as explained by Chiara Ciardetti, CISA Product Platform Specialist.

The electronic lock manages the external handle of the fire door, activating or deactivating it through a signal. To facilitate and expedite user access, an LED can be paired, signalling red for denied access and green for door opening, giving the green light for entry. The system is highly flexible and, thanks to the clean contact, allows remote door opening through the most common access solutions in the market (badges, pins, transponders, fingerprints, etc.). The opening can also be timed, with a range of 3 to 30 seconds, after which the handle is disengaged.

The lock is CE certified and tested for 200,000 cycles according to the relevant standards. It can be installed on single or double-leaf fire doors and combined with CISA panic bars, providing a complete, efficient and customisable solution with various functionalities developed by CISA to meet the increasingly specific needs of operators. Additionally, it offers reversibility for use on both right- and left-handed doors, adjustable opening times, and can be powered by both DC and AC current.

CISA Mito Sensor is the ideal solution for managing fire doors installed in passageways and emergency exits with utmost safety, thanks to remote control opening and excellent visibility of the access signal.
