What to do if your Security Card is lost or stolen

CISA advises replacing the cylinder(s) and key(s) immediately to maintain the same level of security.

Anyone who gets hold of the Security Card is recognised by CISA as the full owner and can therefore obtain duplicates of the original key. Put simply, it is equivalent to losing one of the original keys.

CISA therefore STRONGLY ADVISES AGAINST requesting copies of the Security Card.

  1. Report the theft / loss
  2. Complete the request for a new card
  3. Go to an Authorised CISA Center

Please bring the following documents with you:

  • a copy of report of theft / loss
  • a photocopy of the original key showing the indirect code on it
  • a photocopy of ID
  • the privacy consent form, filled in and signed
  • the request form for a new Security Card, filled in and signed

  1. Delivery of your new Security Card

After completing all the above steps, you may proceed with the request for a new Security Card.
